 Foundation Stone Laid for AIIMS Rewari:

  • PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for AIIMS Rewari, a 720-bed hospital complex, at an estimated cost of ₹1,650 crore.
  • The project, approved under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana in February 2019, will provide comprehensive healthcare services.

 AIIMS Rewari Project Details:

  • Spanning 203 acres in Majra Mustil Bhalkhi village, AIIMS Rewari will feature a medical college with 100 seats and a nursing college with 60 seats.
  • Additional facilities include an AYUSH Block, residential and hostel accommodations, an auditorium, and more.
  • Specialties and super specialties such as cardiology, neurology, oncology, and emergency care will be available.

 Gurugram Metro Rail Project:

  • PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for the Gurugram Metro Rail project, aimed at improving urban transportation.
  • With a budget of ₹5,450 crore, the project spans 28.5 kilometers and will connect old Gurugram to new Gurugram.
  • It will merge with the existing Rapid Metro Rail Gurugram network and feature 27 elevated stations.

 Route and Timeline:

  • The metro route includes key locations like HUDA City Centre, Cyber City, Sector 72A, Hero Honda Chowk, and Udyog Vihar Phase 6.
  • A 1.85-km spur at Dwarka Expressway is also planned. The project is expected to be completed in four years under the Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation.
